S.C.R.U. Squash/Squash Republic is a proudly Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We design t-shirts for squash players. We’re a graphic design studio too: We design logos, poster and souvenir booklets for squash tournaments, clubs and camps.
A little background
The company was started in 2000 by Robert Pacey, a graphic designer, who had just come back to the game of squash after a fifteen year hiatus. Upon his return he quickly noticed a lack of cool squash gear to set him apart from the gym rats. What he did find wasn’t made locally which led him to design his own squash-centric shirts and to produce them in Vancouver. Robert is supported by the vibrant squash community in Vancouver and by his wife Diane who doesn’t play but is a knowledgeable coach. He has been the League Coordinator for The Vancouver Squash League for the last four years and a board member of the 2020 Fund that is trying to help protect the future of squash in British Columbia .He is honoured to represent British Columbia in the 2012 Canadian Masters Provincial Team Championships.
Robert was recently awarded the “President’s Plate” by Squash BC. This trophy is awarded to the best supporter of the game and Squash BC. The Squash BC website describes the award: “Over the years any recipient of one or more of these prestigious awards truly deserves to be there. Most of us will never be in this group. However, if we are involved with squash on any level – playing, coaching, volunteering – it is surely something admirable for which to strive.”
The collection
The first T-SHIRT (“SCRU Squash, Lets Hug”) is still available and the collection has grown to over twenty designs for men and women. Our new line of Canadian-made technical fibre, or “Dry Fit” comes in a variety of styles and colours. Super Charged Racquets & Upparel is currently being sold in BC and the Yukon and we ship all across North America and the globe.

Robert Pacey is a graphic designer based in Vancouver, Canada who's mad about the game of squash. He started his own squash clothing company in 2000, originally called "S.C.R.U. Squash", and he's been going strong ever since. In his spare time, he's the League Coordinator for the Vancouver Squash League; he is a board member of the 2020 Fund, raising money for junior squash; he was the Chair for the Companion Event at the 2010 Canadian Squash Championships, and he will be representing BC in the Canadian Team Masters Championships in 2012.
